🚚 Rivian Opens Fleet Orders for Commercial Vans

Big news for businesses—Rivian is now taking fleet orders for its commercial Delivery 500 and 700 Series vans, with deliveries starting in April.

• Delivery 500 Series – 161-mile range

• Delivery 700 Series – 153-mile range

• Price: Starts at $79,900

• Battery: 100kWh LFP pack

• Charging: 11kW AC & up to 100kW DC fast charging

• Key features: Jump seat, Driver+ assist, 4G LTE fleet connectivity

Until now, Amazon was the only customer for these vans, but now companies like DHL, Factor, and AT&T are testing them. Could Rivian be positioning itself as a major competitor to Ford’s E-Transit and GM’s BrightDrop Van? Time will tell, but this could be a huge revenue boost.

🔧 Software Update 2025.06 – Major Upgrades!

Rivian’s next OTA software update is bringing some big improvements, including:

✅ Wheel Swap Feature – Owners can now update wheel size settings in the app without visiting a service center.
 ✅ Hit-and-Run Detection (Coming in 2025) – Gear Guard will soon detect vehicle impacts even when no motion is detected.

This update makes life easier for owners and frees up Rivian Service Centers for more important repairs. If you’ve been waiting to swap your wheels between all-terrain and road tires, this is huge news!

🏗️ Rivian’s Expansion in Normal, IL Moves Forward

The Town of Normal just approved Rivian’s next factory expansion, including a $3 million reimbursement for infrastructure improvements.

Project Details:

• Total cost: ~$4 million

• Normal covers: 75% (up to $3M)

• Completion target: 2031

• Why it matters: This keeps the R2 SUV on track for early 2026.

I absolutely love using the TWRAPS MagSafe charger in my Rivian. It is great for both my iPhone and AirPods and keeps the charging. The beauty of having this is the magnet keep them from sliding off of the wireless charger. Definitely a must have product!
